Like all the English-made Pelissier tables the Premier is constructed from solid beech apart from the baize-covered top which uses a water-resistant MDF board. Solid beech is far superior to birch or pine softwoods.
The legs and frame are treated with a mahogany stain and then given a varnish topcoat to produce a pleasing sheen. This model has smooth bevelled edges and a green woven wool rich baize top. Again the baize top makes a superb playing surface and doesn't 'pill' like cheap felt surfaces do.
The legs fold flat along each side when not in use and incorporate the genuine Pelissier three-part hinge in galvanised steel, fitted to the frame with adjustable hex bolt in Bright Zinc Plated (BZP) Class 8 high tensile steel.
